Obituary for C. Floyd Manville

OXFORD, CT: C. Floyd Manville, age 86 of Oxford entered into peaceful rest September 29, 2012 at the Lutheran Home, Southbury; he was the beloved husband of 57 years to Pauline (K. (Belehrad) Manville. Mr. Manville was born March 11, 1926 in Waterbury, son of the late Charles and Anna (Wilson) Manville. He was a WW II U.S. Navy Veteran, and was retired from the Sillman Construction Co., Woodbury. Floyd also was formerly employed at Sikorsky Aircraft as a Tool Maker; he also formerly owned his own pulp wood business.

In addition to his wife Floyd leaves his loving family including 4 children, Kathryn Bostock of Burlington, VT, Susan Carrozza of New Haven, Phillip Manville of Oxford, and Gail Bird of Bethlehem, a sister, Natalie Talarico of Watertown, five cherished grandchildren, Michael, Anna, Lily, Sara, and Nico, and three cherished Great Grandchildren, Alexandar, Shylea, and Yanely, also several nieces and nephews. His Brother Richard predeceased him.

A service of Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Oxford Rd., Oxford. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Calling Hours are Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church ST. Seymour. Memorial gifts may be sent to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
