Mary  Galt (Bishop)
Galt, Mary Bishop, age 80 of Oxford, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2014 at Bishop Wicke Health Center in Shelton. She was born on August 17, 1933 to the late Theodore and Alice (Burkhardt) Bishop of Brookhaven, NY. She graduated from Norwalk High School in 1951 and later attended Merrill Business School. She then began her secretarial career at Pepperidge Farm, The Town of Fairfield Board of Education and US Surgical to name a few. Mary was an avid artist, loved to garden and spend time with friends and family. She also enjoyed going to the Oxford Senior Center and the Red Hats Society. She will truly be missed. Her family would like to thank the staff at Bishop Wicke for the excellent care she received and for the kindness and compassion they showed her during her stay. Mary is survived by her sons Grant Dalling and his wife Jennifer of Bridgeport, Ross Dalling and his wife Colleen of Shelton, a sister Evelyn Knox of Florida, a brother Ted Bishop and his wife Mary Jane of Fairfield, 3 grandchildren: Ross, Kayla and Bryce and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Galt, sister Gloria Bishop and grandson Matthew Dalling. Funeral services will be held on Friday August 22, 2014 at 10am at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 25 Great Hill Road, Oxford, with burial to follow at Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, Seymour.
