Life Story for Elizabeth Zamoic (Koeller)

Elizabeth  Zamoic (Koeller)
OXFORD, CT: Elizabeth K. Zamoic, age 87 of Oxford entered peaceful rest November 16, 2014 at CT Hospice, Branford; she was the beloved wife of 54 years to the late Joseph "Red" Zamoic.
Mrs. Zamoic was born April 10, 1927 in Beacon Falls, daughter of the late Peter and Stephanie (Barbosz) Koeller. Elizabeth was the retired Secretary from J.J. Zamoic Construction Co. She was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Mrs. Zamoic was also a Registered Nurse and had graduated from the Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of the Oxford Senior Center; she enjoyed playing BINGO, and trips to the casino. Elizabeth's greatest love was that which she held for her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Zamoic leaves her loving family including her son, Joseph Zamoic, Jr. (Carol Anne), her daughters, Janet Zwack (Robert), and Deborah Alterio (Anthony) all of Oxford, her brothers, Chester Koeller (Marie) of Watertown, and Arthur Koeller of Beacon Falls, her grandchildren, Jennifer Haney, Kristin Zwack, Erin Zwack, Matthew Alterio, Joanne Alterio, Frank Vealencis, Joseph Vealencis, Chentelle Smolinsky, Anne Marie Stern, Kimberly Reynolds, and great grandchildren, Frank Vealencis, Jr., Hunter Vealencis, Joshua Haney, Jr., and Sam Smolinsky, Jack Reynolds, Adeline and Matthew Stern, also several nieces and nephews. Her sisters, Stephanie Pistorelli, Hnora Foetsch, and Modesta Morrow predeceased her.

Calling Hours are Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home,161 W. Church St., Seymour. Funeral Services are Thursday at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home and at 10:00 a.m a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Rd., Oxford. Interment will be in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour.
