Mrs. Irene L. Nanista, age 85, of Seymour beloved wife of the late Joseph S. Nanista entered into peaceful rest on Feb. 22, 2015 at Danbury Hospital. She was born on Nov. 16, 1929, in South Orange, NJ and was the daughter of the late Albert and Irene (Searfoss) Heyeck. Mrs. Nanista graduated from West Side High School, Class of 1947 in Newark, NJ.
Mrs. Nanista is survived by her devoted children, Jeffrey Nanista and his wife Rosemary of Norwalk and Kathy Ventresca and her husband Alfred of Sandy Hook and six grandchildren, Kirstyn and Gemma Nanista, Geno, Melena, Alicia and Haley Ventresca. Her son, John Nanista predeceased her.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Interment will be held in the spring in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. Calling Hours will be held on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
