William M. Stakum, age 69, a lifelong resident of Oxford, beloved husband of Nancy (LaBranche) Stakum, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Born in Waterbury on June 6, 1946, he was a son of the late William John and Mary (Korpos) Stakum. A retired truck driver for O&G Industries, William was a member of Teamsters Local 191. An avid biker, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Softail, but found most pride being a grandfather to his cherished granddaughter, Lyndsay Nicole Stakum. In addition to his wife of 37 years and granddaughter, survivors include his loving children, Bill Stakum of Oxford, and Kate Stakum and her fiancé Kevin Edwards of Oxford; sister, Roberta Stakum of Oxford, as well as his niece, Melissa Zamfir. Calling hours will take place Monday morning, June 29, 2015 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St. Seymour, CT 06483. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
