Obituary for John "Jack" MacLean

John “Jack” MacLean, age 79, of El Paso, TX, formerly of Naugatuck, beloved husband of Lorraine (Bradshaw) MacLean, entered peaceful rest on Monday, November 9, 2015 in his home surrounded by family. Born in Ansonia on May 5, 1936, he was a son of the late Douglas and Mary (Staniulis) MacLean. A retired maintenance worker at Wolcott View Manor (Wolcott), Jack was a member of the US Army Reserves. He was a parishioner of the Seymour Evangelical Baptist Church who will be remembered for his enjoyment of bingo, casino life and camping. In addition to his wife Lorraine, of 55 years, survivors include his children, James MacLean and his wife Lori of Cumming GA, Donna Teal and her husband Gavin of Seymour, and Gayle Briggs and her husband Paul of El Paso, TX, as well as 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St. Seymour, CT 06483 and interment will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Jack’s name to the American Heart Association / American Stroke Association PO Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241-7005 (www.heart.org).
