WOODBRIDGE, CT: Donald Read Ford, age 82 of Woodbridge entered peaceful rest on May 22, 2016; he was the beloved husband of Louise (Edwards) Ford. Mr. Ford was born in New Haven on February 5, 1934, son of the late Elbert C. and Mildred (Read) Ford. Donald was the retired former owner of Beacon Brass Co., in Beacon Falls; he also retired from Teldyne Corp., Ansonia. He was a member of the First Church of Christ Woodbridge. Mr. Ford loved going to the beach, especially in Rhode Island, and he enjoyed clamming.

In addition his wife of 60 years, Donald leaves his loving family including his sons, Mark Ford and his fiancé Sue Plaskon both of Naugatuck, and Glenn Ford and his fiancé Geeta Boodoo both of Wallingford, his daughter, Susan Hauser of Beacon Falls, and eight grandchildren, Jordan, Mason, Haley, Olivia, Ryan, Jennifer, Jessica, and Nicholas.

A Memorial Service in celebration of Donald's life will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the First Church of Christ Woodbridge 5 Meetinghouse La., Woodbridge, CT 06525. Inurnment will follow in Milfordside Burial Ground. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Gifts may be sent to the First Church of Christ Woodbridge. The Ralph E.
