BEACON FALLS — Daniel LaFortune, age 63, of Beacon Falls, passed peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 25, 2016. He was the devoted husband of Debra (Dziadik) LaFortune, and loving father of daughter Danielle and her husband, John Trivers, and sons Ryan and Mark LaFortune.

Daniel was born on January 13, 1953, in New Haven, CT, Son of the late Bud and Tad LaFortune. Daniel devoted many years to Ansonia Copper and Brass in the lab as a UT2 technician up until his illness. With his strong will and determination he continued to live life to the fullest. He grew up learning to love the outdoors from his YMCA western adventure trips. He was an active individual with the youth in Beacon Falls, acting as the youth coordinator running many trips. He loved traveling, racquet sports, camping, skiing, fishing and above all spending time with his family.

In addition to his loving wife of 35 years, Daniel leaves a sister, Nancy Dintiman, and grandchildren Cheyanne, Dylan and Olivia. He also leaves his extended family, and many very special friends.

Family and friends may call at a celebration of Daniel's life on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour, and will conclude with a prayer to be read at 7.
