Evelyn F. Guy, age 69, beloved wife and best friend of Steven Guy, entered into peaceful rest on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. Born in Derby on March 12, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Evelyn (Jennings) Hayden and spent most of her life in Naugatuck before moving to Holiday, FL. An avid shopper, Evelyn worked for the former Lifetouch Photography Studio, but found the most enjoyment spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, survivors include her loving children, Carie Nemec and her husband John of Waterbury, Danielle Grosskopf and her husband Tom of FL, John Lanci of FL, Richard Lanci of Waterbury, and John Hayden of Seymour; 3 adored step-children, Brent, Shawn and Stephanie Guy, all of FL; 13 cherished grandchildren; her brother, Elmer Hayden; sisters, Audrey Santoro and Dorothy Torres, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Lanci; and her brother and sister, Jack Hayden and Donna Graham. A memorial gathering will take place Friday, August 19, 2016 in the Ralph Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St. Seymour, CT 06484 from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
