SEYMOUR, CT: Oliver Card Stowe, age 89 of Seymour, entered peaceful rest on October 30, 2016 at Hewitt Health Care, Shelton. Mr. Stowe was born June 7, 1927 in Monroe, son of the late Frederick G. and Jennie R. (Cara) Stowe. He was a retired truck driver with Dalling Construction, and also from his own company, Stowe's Welding in Seymour. Oliver was a WW II US Army Veteran and served in Japan and the U.S. Mr. Stowe enjoyed doing mechanical work especially on trucks, tractors, and farming equipment. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and UCONN Women's Basketball .

Oliver leaves his loving family including his son and daughter-in-law, Leroy Stowe and wife Kathy of Beacon Falls, and loving granddaughter Rachael Stowe of Seymour. He also leaves his loving daughter, Shirley Stowe of Casa Grande, AZ and grandchildren, Wayne Boudreau of Casa Grande, and Tina Demers of Seymour; also several great grandchildren and several great grandchildren. His brothers Delmar and Frederick, and sisters, Edna Klein, Eleanor Burdick, and Linda O'Neil predeceased him.
