Life Story for William L. "Bill" Blythe Jr.

William L. "Bill"  Blythe Jr.
SEYMOUR, CT: William L. "Bill" Blythe, Jr., age 88, a lifelong Seymour resident and beloved husband of Irene (Miller) Blythe of 62 years, entered peaceful rest surrounded by his family on February 15, 2017.  Bill was born in Derby, son of the late William, Sr. and Mary (Mihalcik) Blythe.  He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War.  Bill was retired from the Kerite Co. Mr. Blythe was a communicant of St. Augustine Church, and a former member of the Seymour Father's Club. Bill and his wife Irene were avid UCONN Huskies Women's Basketball fans, so far as to say that they enjoyed following the team all over the country.

Besides his wife, Bill leaves his loving family including, his children, Bob Blythe (Diana) of Woodbridge, Lin Walsh of Seymour, Sue Dowdell (Joseph) of Beacon Falls, Mark Blythe (Nora) of Wilmington, DE, Karen Thomas (Ray) of Westbrook, and John Blythe (Jessica) of Oviedo, FL; his grandchildren, Eric, Adam, Alex, Robert, Jennifer, Heather, Joshua, Matthew, Sarah, Katie, Connor, Kylie, Joshua, Benjamin, Corey, Avery, and Lily, and great grandchildren, Skyler, Genieva, Brandon, and Jaime.

Calling Hours are Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. also on Saturday in St. Augustine Church, 35 Washington Av., Seymour. Internment with Military Honors will be in St. Augustine Cemetery in the Spring.
