Helene (Carnecka) Chubat, age 92, was called home to God on March 3, 2017 and is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Tony. She died peacefully at her Seymour residence from natural causes. Helene was born March 6, 1924 in Georgetown, CT. She loved nature (especially trees), God’s creatures, music, reading and dancing – in her younger days. Helene had a great personality and loved making people laugh (she could tell a great story). She was a loving, warm soul who touched many hearts in her time here on earth. Survivors include her loving children, Gregory Chubat of Seymour, Anthony Chubat of Litchfield, and Joyce Lee Chubat of Seymour; one grandson, Eric Chubat of Woodbridge; and her pets, Willie Bo and Cooper. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Kathleen Anne who went to heaven in 2011; and her sisters, Frances Mazzei and her husband Patrick, Wanda Settergren and her husband Ray, and Isabelle Karcheski and her husband Bernard. There are no calling hours and interment will be private. The family respectfully asks for your prayers for their Mom.
