Gregory V.  Chubat
SEYMOUR – Gregory V. Chubat, age 69 of Seymour, entered peaceful rest on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Derby on September 2, 1947, he was a son of the late Anthony and Helene V. (Carnecka) Chubat. A retired welder for Homer D. Bronson, Gregory served as a high tier official in the local welders union. He loved the outdoors and had a special affection for animals, treasuring his time with his dogs and cats. Gregory also had a passion for horses, riding and working in stables for many years. He was an avid New England Patriots fan and also enjoyed fishing, golf, astronomy, reading, history and movies. Survivors include his loving sister, Joyce Chubat of Seymour and brother, Anthony W. Chubat of Milford; sister-in-law, Eileen B. Coughlin of Seymour; nephew, Eric Chubat and his wife Natalia of Woodbury, as well as several cousins. A memorial service celebrating his life was held at the Ralph Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St., Seymour CT, and interment was held at the convenience of the family.
