Obituary for Ann Supranovich (Elko)

SEYMOUR, CT: Ann Supranovich of Seymour entered peaceful rest and went home to The Lord on September 4, 2017 at Bishop Wicke Health Center, Shelton; she was the beloved wife of the late Harry Supranovich, Jr. Ann was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Elko. Ann was a devout parishioner of the Church of the Good Shepherd where she volunteered washing and ironing clergy vestments; she was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Ann will always be remembered as the Town of Seymour's very first female Police Officer. Ann was an avid gardener and was known for her Azaleas and Rhododendrons in her yard.

Ann leaves her loving family including her daughter, Darlene O'Callaghan (David) of Seymour, her grandchildren, Katherine Supranovich of Plainville, Matthew and Dawn Supranovich both of Seymour, great grandchildren, Taiya Supranovich of Seymour, Samantha Chapman of Ansonia, and Tiffany Supranovich in FL; also her daughter-in-law, Nancy Supranovich of Seymour. Her son Harry "Sip" Supranovich, III, and brothers Paul, Joseph, Michael, and Steve Elko predeceased her.

Calling Hours are Thursday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour. A mass of Christian Burial will follow at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd. Seymour at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Three Saints Cemetery.
