Obituary for Mary K. Moselle (Kacerguis)

SOUTHFORD – Mary (Kacerguis) Moselle, age 99, beloved wife of the late Robert W. Moselle, entered peaceful rest on Sunday, November 5, 2017 in the River Glen Heath Care Center, Southford. Born in Bethlehem on August 23, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Anthony Kacerguis and Margaret (Adamulis) Urbon. A lifelong resident of Oxford, Mary was the former co-owner of Moselle’s Package Store in Oxford until her retirement in 1978. Her husband, Robert, started the Oxford school bus service before WWII and while he was away during the war, she continued the service while driving with her infant daughter. A communicant and ladies guild member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Mary also was a past member of the Oxford Center Fire Dept. Auxiliary, the David Miles Post 174 Oxford American Legion Auxiliary, Oxford Grange, the Oxford School PTO and belonged to the Oxford Seniors. Survivors include her loving daughter, Suzanne Morris and her husband George; 2 beloved granddaughters, Bernadette Yesulaites-Gergasky and her husband Kenneth, and Elaine Bartel and her husband Frank; 6 adored great grandchildren, Jennifer Vercenzi, Linda Morris, Danielle Yesulaites-Guilette, William Yesulaites, Rebecca Yesulaites and Connor Bartel; and 5 cherished great-great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She was proud to have had five living generations in the family for the second time. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Albert Kacerguis and Anthony Urbon; sisters, Margaret Yesulaites and Helen Duda, and her grandson, Michael Morris. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Oxford. Interment will follow in Southford Cemetery, Oxford. Family and friends may call Thursday morning in the Ralph Hull Funeral Home 161 West Church St. Seymour, CT 06483, from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mary’s name can be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Rd., Oxford, CT 06478.
