Condolences

Condolence From: Gloria Hennemuth
Condolence: I loved this man and often wished I could stay behind when it was time to leave the farm. Thank you for the memories and the many times you let me get a leg up after you saw a young girl leaning on the fence wanting nothing more than to ride.

Condolence From: Bobbie Paradis
Condolence: I was saddened to learn of Joe's passing; I heard it over the PA system at the Goshen Fair while helping a contestant. I will cherish my memories of all I saw and learned at the barn as a youth. Both Joe and John were gracious in offering their time and talents to those who wanted to learn. Sincerely, Bobbie Paradis, Bethany, CT.

Condolence From: Sharon McCarthy Hale
Condolence: Joe Kriz brought joy to many people. He sold me my first horse in 1958. That horse was a perfect match for me and led to over forty years of enjoyment in the "horse world." Joe had the physical strength of a giant but also a gentle soul, something both humans and horses could perceive and appreciate. Please accept my sincere condolence. Sharon McCarthy Hale

Condolence From: Mike Anderson
Condolence: I wish to express my condolences in your loss, I only knew Mr. Kriz through my grandmother Dorothy (Dot) Migone. She was very proud to have been friends with him and to have rodeo'd with him back in her day. She was an avid horseperson until she passed away in 2005 at the age of 91, she had to stop riding at the age of 89. I passed this along to my mother and step-father Bill and Joanne Houle as I remember Mr. Kriz shoeing our horses out in Woodbury and at my grandmother's in Oxford. Again I am sorry for your loss, I cannot tell you how much he meant to my grandmother. Sincerely, Mike Anderson Prospect, CT

Condolence From: Brian R. Butler
Condolence: I will always concider my self extremely lucky to have been thought of by UJ as a friend. When I was younger he would always take me out into the fair and buy me something to eat and then let me sit with him in the stands and see if I could pick the same winning hitch as him .I will always feel privileged to have known such an Icon of a man. Sincerly Brian R. Butler

Condolence: Winter of 2009, the Krizes invited a small group of equine photographers to their farm and treated us like honored guests. We shot hundreds of photos - with teams pulling sleighs (complete with Santa Claus!), the pile of shoes, Jen and her lovely gelding... It was an honor to meet UJ. Rest in peace, UJ.
