OXFORD, CT: Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Cotnoir, 84 a longtime Oxford resident, she entered into peaceful rest on April 20, 2023; she was the beloved wife of the late Walter Arnold “Arnie” Cotnoir. Liz was born on October 7, 1938 in Yonkers, NY, daughter of the late Edward and Stella (Collon) McCarthy. Liz was the retired owner and operator of Lizabeth’s Bridal Salon in Oxford. She was a Communicant of St. Nicholas Parish-Church of the Good Shepherd in Seymour. Liz will be fondly remembered as being the “root of the family”, and also for her relationships with many people with whom she was honored to be called their “extended mother or grandmother”. She will also be remembered for her selfless and devoted health care for 35 plus years she provided to her late husband Arnie following his tragic accident. Without question Liz had a love of fashion, travel, and sports cars; she was an avid Pinochle player, and lover of animals, especially her kitty Willy. Liz was a member and past Treasurer of the Oxford Senior Center.
Mrs. Cotnoir leaves her loving family including her daughters, Donna Rollinson and her husband Bill of Oxford, and Darlene Cotnoir of Seymour; her brother George Collon, III and his wife Mary Lou Persutti of Portland; and her granddaughters, Devon Rollinson-Ramia and her husband Mike of St. Augustine, FL, and Paige Rollinson of Greenwich.
