Obituary for Michael Lee Moir
On Wednesday, December 30 th 2020 Michael Lee Moir, beloved son, brother, father and grandfather passed away peacefully in his home. Born in Caribou, Maine on July 25, 1955, he was the son of the late Sheldon Sr. and Lucille (Adams) Moir.
Michael was a member of the Seymour High School class of 1973, where he was a varsity football player. He also played one season with the Central Connecticut State University football team. Michael was an avid runner and competed in several marathons. He loved to read and was an explorer of life.
Michael was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate heart. His joy in his later years were his grandchildren, Chloe, Savannah, Aayan, and AJ. In addition to his grandchildren, Michael is survived by his beloved children Craig Moir, Chad Moir (Saba), and Casey Savo (Anthony). His mother Lucille Moir, brothers Sheldon Jr. Moir (Gail), Allen Moir (Natalie), and his sister Millie Bellucci as well as his many nieces. He was predeceased by his wife Cindy Moir, father Sheldon Moir Sr., and brother Craig Moir.
Family and friends are invited to meet at the Church of the Good Shepard (St. Nicholas Parish) 135 Mountain Rd. Seymour, CT 06483 on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 DIRECTLY at 10am for a Memorial Mass celebrating his life. Committal will be held privately following services.
