Obituary for Albert H. Ajello

Albert H. Ajello, age 86, of Oxford, beloved husband of Geraldine (Greene) Ajello, entered into eternal rest on October 4, 2020 with his loving family by his side. Born in Seymour on May 10, 1934, he was the son of the late Frank and Virginia (D’Agosta) Ajello.

He was a loving and giving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved nothing more than spending time with his family. He was a proud farmer and his family owned Ajello’s Farm on Great Hill Road, Seymour. He was an owner of the Great Hill Country Club, Seymour with his brothers where he worked until it was sold. He owned Crossroads Video in Monroe, and worked in the public works department for the Town of Seymour until his retirement. He was a devout communicant of St. Michael’s Church in Beacon Falls, was a member of the Seymour Grange, Seymour Planning and Zoning, Seymour Recreation, Chairman of the Inlands/Wetlands Commission and past Captain of the Great Hill Hose Company,of which he was a member since the age of 18.

Albert was a die-hard Yankees and NY Giants fan, an avid golfer, and loved hunting, fishing, Chevys and John Deere. He enjoyed life to the fullest with his family being his biggest passion. He touched many lives with his love, humor and compassion. He has left behind many memories and a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife of 56 years, Albert’s survivors include his daughters, Cynthia Gregory of Oxford and Christine Tucker and her husband Christopher of Beacon Falls; his loving grandchildren, goddaughter Jessica Wells and her husband Brendan, Jeffrey Tucker and his wife Ashley, Casey Gregory and his wife Erika and Cody Gregory and his significant other, Shealynn Kuczenski; his cherished great-grandchildren, Taylor Tucker, Everett Wells and Peyton Gregory; his brother, Frank Ajello, Jr. of Seymour and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Ralph Ajello, his sisters, Grace Carinci and Helen Migani and his nephew, Joseph Carinci.

Relatives and friends may call on the family on Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 10:00 am at St. Michael’s Church, 25 Maple Avenue, Beacon Falls for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private.
