Obituary for Albert P. Nimons
SEYMOUR - Albert P. Nimons, age 92 of Seymour, beloved husband of Barbara (Cotnoir) Nimons, entered peaceful rest on Sunday, October 1, 2023, in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Oxford on September 4, 1931, he was a son of the late Albert W. and Clara (Nielson) Nimons. Graduate of Seymour High School.
A proud US Air Force veteran of the Korean War, Albert loved traveling the world along with Barbara. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid bowler, being inducted into the American Bowling Congress Hall of Fame in 1996. Albert was a dedicated employee last employed at Winchester Arms. Albert will be fondly remembered as a practical joker, but most importantly, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
In addition to his wife Barbara, of 68 years, survivors include his loving daughter, Leslie Everetts and her husband Rusty of Ansonia; 5 cherished grandchildren, Deserae Miller, Shane Everetts, Deanna Everetts, Charity Young, and Shawn Miller; 11 adored great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Lauren Chirgwin, Marsha Pettengill and Prudence Hayden, Judy Cotnoir, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Albert was predeceased by his loving son, Dusty Nimons, and siblings, Reynold Nimons, Earl Nimons, William Nimons, Harold Nimons, Helen Lucido and Viola Handy.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 4pm - 7pm in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St. Seymour, CT 06483. Funeral Services will take place on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 11am in the funeral home. Interment with full military honors will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
