SEYMOUR, CT: Alice M. Conroy, age 87 of Seymour entered into peaceful rest October 22, 2009 at the Griffin Hospital, Derby; she was the beloved wife of the late Michael J. “Chuck” Conroy. Mrs. Conroy was born July 12, 1922 in Ansonia, daughter of the late Joseph and Hilma (Berquist) Niezelski. Alice was a Seymour resident since 1944,and was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd. Mrs. Conroy enjoyed bird watching and doing crafts, but will be most fondly remembered for her love of cooking. Alice leaves her loving family including two brothers, Robert Niezelski of Clinton, and Thomas Niezelski and his wife Wanda of Seymour, his sister, Charlotte Koslowski and her husband Louis of Seymour three sisters –in-law, Lucy Niezelski of Seymour, Corrine Conroy and Margaret Duggan both of Derby, and several nieces and nephews. Her brother, Joseph Niezelski and sister Lillian Swanat predeceased her. Funeral services will be Monday at 9:45 a.m. from the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Mountain Meadows Cemetery.
