Obituary for Arnold R. Kellogg

OXFORD , CT: Arnold R. Kellogg, 84 of Oxford entered into peaceful rest August 28, 2012 at his home with his devoted family by his side; he was the beloved husband of the late Margaret "Peg" (Fitzgerald) Kellogg. Mr. Kellogg was born December 3, 1927 in Bridgeport, son of the late Henry M. and Gladys (Richardson) Kellogg. Arnold was retired from the Warnaco Company, Bridgeport where he worked in research and development for 43 years. Arnold had a natural mechanical ability especially with welding and electrical, "he could fix anything". He enjoyed spending time with his family and the annual camping trips and travel with them throughout the country.

He leaves his loving family including his son, Norman Kellogg and his wife Jean of Seymour, his daughter, Karen Plavnicky and her husband David of Stratford, 2 brothers, Elmer Kellogg and his wife June of Huntington, and Morgan Kellogg and his wife Mary of Stratford, 5 grandchildren, Jordan, Charlene, Victoria, Christopher, and Scott, and several nieces and nephews. His half sister, Mildred White predeceased him.

A Memorial Service in celebration of Arnold's life will be Friday at 6:00 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church ST., Seymour. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Calling Hours are also Friday prior to the service from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be sent to Vitas Innovative Hospice Care, 199 Park Rd.
