Obituary for Audrey Chamenko (Philbrick)

SEYMOUR – Audrey (Philbrick) Chamenko, age 94 of Seymour, beloved wife of over 50 years to the late John Chamenko, entered peaceful rest on Monday, January 3, 2022 in St. Raphael Hospital, New Haven. Born in Derby on June 27, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Louise (Luschenat) Philbrick.

A retired employee of Tiffany Lighting in Derby, Audrey was deeply involved in the Seymour community, often volunteering her time on many committees such as the D.A.V., as well as Trinity Episcopal Church, where she was a member of the Vestry-Altar Guild. Those who knew Audrey will remember her great love of family, as well as her love of animals.

Survivors include her loving son, Robert Chamenko and his wife Linda of Beacon Falls, as well as her cherished grandchildren - Alexandra (Bowsza, and husband Jason) Hugh, Kirk, Ian and greatgrandchildren – Elliott and Sadie Bowsza. She was also very fond of her many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Warren Philbrick.

Due to COVID-19, a Memorial Service of Requiem Eucharist will be held at a date and place to be determined. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. The Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour is entrusted with her arrangements. Memorial contributions in her name can be made to the Bethany Animal Shelter.
