OXFORD, CT: Barbara “Bobbie” Tilquist age 93 of Oxford she entered into peaceful rest at her home on February 4, 2020. Barbara was born July 20, 1926 in Rochester, VT, daughter of the late Leroy and Edna (Nelson) Bowen. She was retired as an inspector from Harvey Hubbel Corp., Newtown. Bobbie was a member of the Oxford United Church of Christ Congregational; she loved animals, especially horses and dogs. Bobbie enjoyed crocheting and shopping.

She leaves her loving family including her daughter, Dixie Peters and her husband Eugene, her sons John H. and Ralph D. Tilquist all of Oxford; a brother Thompson Bowen and his wife Irene of Salisbury, VT; her grandchildren, John, Brian, Kimberly, Wesley, and Samantha; her great grandchildren, John and Briley, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling Hours will be Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. A Funeral Service in celebration of Bobbie’s life will immediately follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
