BUENA PARK, CA: Betty Jane McBride Lintzner, age 84 of Buena Park, CA, a former longtime Seymour and Valley resident entered into peaceful rest March 14, 2009 in Buena Park; she was the beloved wife of the late Bernard Lintzner, and also from her first husband, William Alexander McBride. Betty Jane was born October 18, 1924 in Derby, CT, daughter of the late Ralph and Gertrude (Hannigan) Culbertson. She also resided in New Orleans, LA, and Tarpan Springs, FL. Betty Jane was a retired Executive Secretary from Philips Medical Systems formerly of Shelton, CT; she also was retired from Columbia Records. While living in the greater Valley area she was a member of the Great Hill United Methodist church, Seymour, CT.
Betty Jane leaves her loving family including her son, Shawn Creelman McBride of Shady Shores, TX, her daughter, Melinda Susan McBride of La Mirada,CA, her step-son, Bernard Lintzner of Oxford, CT, a sister, Doris Faye deFrancesco and her husband, Michael of New Milford, CT, and three step-grandchildren, Robby, Steve, and Michael Lintzner. Her brother Ralph Dale “Knobby” Culbertson predeceased her. Funeral services in celebration of Betty Jane’s life will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton.
