Obituary for Beverly Faith Christy
NAUGATUCK: Beverly Faith Christy, age 81 of Naugatuck, entered peaceful rest on Sunday, November 6, 2022 in her home. Born in Bridgeport on August 20, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Martha (Beatty) Christy.
A retired operator for 3M, Beverly was a resident in Naugatuck for many years and enjoyed, amongst other things, going out to eat with her many lifelong friends. She especially loved the holidays and cooking for her family. Beverly unselfishly gave of herself to her family, starting with her four children, who she shared with Arthur Steeves. She took great pride in being a dedicated mother and grandmother, especially to her grandchildren who were her world, and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
Survivors include her loving children, David Steeves and his wife Kellie of Oxford, Kathleen Els and her husband Michael of Naugatuck, and Sharon Scanlon and her husband Richard of Orange; her nephew who was like another son, Chip Cleary and his wife Lori; her cherished grandchildren, Joshua LaRowe, William Steeves, Jessica Scanlon, Mandee Scanlon, Taylor Els, Cortney Els, Michael Els, Alexa Steeves, Ava Steeves, Shannon Cleary and Shelby Cleary. In addition to her parents, Beverly was predeceased by her son, William Steeves, and sisters, Bobby Cleary and Mildred Graff
A Memorial Service celebrating her life will take place on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 12 pm in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St., Seymour, CT 06483. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 10:30 am until the time of services. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
