Obituary for Brittany A. Stevenson
Stevenson, Brittany Ann “Sunshine”, 36, of Seymour, passed away peacefully at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her family. Brittany was born in Derby, CT, to Robert and Lorrie (Terrell) Stevenson on March 7, 1986 as the second out of three children.
She went through the Oxford school system until she graduated from Seymour High School in 2004, then attended Naugatuck Valley Community College and obtained her Associates Degree in Business Management. But even with this degree, her creative nature and artistic abilities led her to a long time career making beautiful cakes as a decorator at ShopRite in Southbury, until she recently moved to the ShopRite from Home team. Brittany was liked and loved by everyone she met.
Besides her parents, Robert and Lorrie, Brittany is survived by her sister, Amanda Stevenson along with her niece and nephews (Brenna, Connor and William), her brother, Robert Stevenson and his girlfriend Stacey, her grandmother Ruth Terrell, her Uncle Jason and her “PeaPod” Aunt Marie Stevenson, Uncle Scott (Nancy) Stevenson, Uncle Robert Terrell, Uncle David (MJ) Terrell, her long time fiancé, Chris McSwain, his family, as well as several cousins and distant relatives. She is predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Roger Terrell and her paternal grandparents Robert and Patricia Stevenson.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 3pm to 7pm in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St. Seymour, CT 06483, with remarks starting at 7pm. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
