Obituary for Carol Zwick (Husted)
SEYMOUR- Carol (Husted) Zwick, age 81, formerly of Oxford and Woodbridge, entered peaceful rest on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 in Shady Knoll Healthcare, Seymour. Born in New Haven on May 15, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Vivian (Dains) Husted, and was the beloved wife of the late Edward Zwick.
A nurse’s aide and hairdresser, Carol was very devout in her faith. She was a member of the Oxford Congregational Church, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years. Carol was also very involved with the Oxford Senior Center, the Oxford Garden Club, and was a former member of the Red Hat Society.
Survivors include her step-sons, Edward P. Zwick, Jr. of TX, and Wayne Zwick of DE; her special cousin, Karendale Waskewicz of Seymour, as well as her dear friend, Janel Woodbury of Seymour. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother Norman Husted of Bethlehem.
Calling hours will take place on Monday, July 1, 2019, from 4pm to 7pm in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St. Seymour, CT 06483. Committal services will be held in Southford Cemetery, Oxford, on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 DIRECTLY at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Carol’s name to The Order of the Eastern Star 135 Main Street, 2nd Floor, Seymour, CT 06483, or to the American Diabetes Association P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215.
