Obituary for Chad P. Feli

NEWTOWN: Chad Feli, age 43 of Newtown, ended his brave fight against cancer at Danbury Hospice on Sunday, September 27, 2020.  Chad passed peacefully with his beloved wife Meghan and family by his side. Born in Danbury on July 21, 1977, he was a son of the late Peter Feli, Jr. and Deborah Feli of Newtown.

Chad graduated from Newtown HS in 1995 and followed his love of film to Florida were he attended Full Sail University Film School. Chad’s love of movies started young with the Feli family tradition of Thanksgiving movie
night. Chad impressed many with his knowledge of movies from black and white Audrey Hepburn films to modern day classics.

Chad enjoyed cooking (don’t forget macaroni salad is a two day process), camping, sarcasm, reading, crossword puzzles, wrestling, football, and most of all spending time with family and friends. Chad was everyone's pick for Trivial Pursuit teammate as his depth of self described “useless knowledge” was almost undefeated. Being the youngest sibling Chad was up to the task of challenging his brothers as part of the family business (Kodiak Tree & Landscape Company) before starting his career at Whole Foods where he could share his love of cooking.

Chad is survived by the love of his life, Meghan and his daughter Kenley; mother Deborah; brother Michael and his wife Heather; brother Jason, his wife Jamie, and nieces Ava, Piper, Josephine, and Lauren; in-laws John and Mary Lou Sheehan; sister-in-law Alisa Wigglesworth, her husband Jimmy, and nephews Luke and godson Noah; brother in law John (JT) Sheehan, his wife Lindsey, and nephew Jack.

Chad and his family appreciate the extra time he had thanks to the doctors and nurses at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC, especially Dr. Alex Shoushtari for not only being a great doctor but for also becoming a true friend. Always the life of the party, it was very important to Chad that the Memorial
Service celebrating his life be well attended. The date and time are to be determined as family works out a time that is safe and convenient for everyone. Chad didn’t really like flowers so instead the family is in the process
of creating a College Savings Plan for his daughter Kenley. Please make any check donations payable to Meghan Feli. The Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home (161 W. Church Street, Seymour CT) has been entrusted with the
arrangements. Please feel free to share your favorite memories and stories of Chad here on his page.
