Obituary for Claire E. Beamer (Blakeman)
ANSONIA – Claire Ellen (Blakeman) Beamer, born July 9, 1951, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 1, 2021 in her home surrounded by family. She was born in Derby, CT, to the late Philip, Jr. and Dorothy (Smith) Blakeman of Oxford. Claire retired from B&D Molding (Shelton) where she worked in quality control. She loved her family and friends above all, but also enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening, country music, concerts as well as family gatherings. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the most important people in her life.
Claire leaves behind her very dear loved one who has been her rock, Robert “Bucky” Campbell and his family, especially grandson, Tyler Thompson. She is also survived by her daughters, Nancy Edwards and her companion Paul Ubben and his daughter Leeah of Oxford, and Paula Beamer and her companion Christopher Collette of Ansonia; granddaughters, Shelby Edwards of Oxford and Emily Beamer-Scianna and her fiancé Douglas Demaine of Seymour; great-grandchildren, Andrew Rogers and Daxton Demaine; sisters, Barbra Hyman, Linda Brooks, Sandra Boudreau and Karen Blakeman; brothers, David, Richard, Donald and Brian Blakeman; her “favorite” godson, Dwight Blakeman, her previous husband Marvin Beamer of PA, as well as many nieces and nephews, including Amanda Crisp for her special care and attention given to Claire, great nieces and great nephews whom she adored. Claire was predeceased by her siblings, Jill Crisp, E. Carol Blakeman, Sharon Schoeller and Philip Blakeman, III; son-in-law, Danny Edwards.
Claire fought a long hard battle due to complications from several strokes. She was a strong loving and giving woman who will be missed forever.
Interment will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 11am DIRECTLY in East Village Cemetery, East Village Rd. Monroe, CT 06468. The Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour, CT 06483 has been entrusted with her arrangements.
