BEACON FALLS: Mrs. Constance “Connie” Shatney, age 89, of Beacon Falls, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Griffin Hospital, Derby. She was the daughter of the late Almon and Bell (Willey) Shallow and was born on April 10, 1921 in Colebrook, NH. She worked at UniRoyal in Naugatuck for 27 years before retirement. Mrs. Shatney is survived by her three devoted children, John Shatney of Oxford, Stanley Shatney of New Milford and Patricia Zakrzewski of Southbury and 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Elsworth Shallow of Pittsburgh, PA, Leonard Shallow of Franklin, NH and two sisters, Mable Bennett of Golftown, NH, Bertina Jondro of Colebrook, NH and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Family and friends may call on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held in the spring in Pines Bridge Cemetery, Beacon Falls.
