Obituary for David S. Alagille

Woodbridge: David Stephane Alagille, age 49 of Woodbridge, beloved husband of Gary (Hunter Stiles) Hylinski Jr, entered into eternal rest peacefully from a progressive form of ALS, with his husband and friends, Aurelie Pereira and Deborah Jones by his side. David was born in Chartres, France on February 10th, 1974. He was
the son of Jocelyne Gratien and Gilbert Alagille of Chartres, France.

David was a dual citizen of France and the US. He received his doctorate of Chemistry in France. He came to the US in September 2001 for post doctorate studies at Yale University. He was part owner of Xinging Imaging where he served as Vice President of Chemistry and Quality Assurance, previously of Molecular Neuro Imaging, now Invicro. He dedicated his life to Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s research.

David enjoyed reading and gardening in his spare time. He could pick up a book and learn how to do anything. He had a special talent for cooking wonderful meals enjoyed by many family and friends. He loved art and collected many Ibeji sculptures. He had many hobbies throughout his life and was always the first on the dance floor.

In addition to his husband, Gary, of 20 years and his parents Jocelyne and Gilbert, survivors include his fur baby Polux; brothers, Vincent Alagille and wife Catherine; Sylvian Alagille and wife Lavigne Francoise; nieces and nephews, Romane Alagille, Alex Alagille, Felix Alagille, and Charles Alagille; father in law, Gary Hylinski Sr; brother in law, Mike Hylinski and wife Lori, and a nephew Jacob Hylinski. David was predeceased by Grandmere Odette Gratien; fur Baby Gedeon; and mother in law, Katherine Hylinski.

Family and friends can greet the family on Friday, September 15th from 2-5 p.m. in the Ralph E Hull Funeral Home at 161 W Church St, Seymour, CT 06483. A celebration of life is to follow in his residence. Memorial donations can be made to the ALS foundation at als.org. David has requested white or colorful attire for visitation and celebration.
