Obituary for David E. Beckwith, Sr.
SEYMOUR, CT: David E. Beckwith, Sr., age 77 of Seymour, beloved husband of the late Linda (Raynor) Beckwith, entered peaceful rest on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 in Griffin Hospital. Born in Derby on June 5, 1944, he was a son of the late Walter and Thelma (Watson) Beckwith.
David enjoyed spending time with his family, day trips with his close friend, Claude Deslauiers, watching the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and UCONN Women’s Basketball, as well as sitting on his porch enjoying the nice weather.
Survivors include his loving children, David Beckwith, Jr. and his wife Lisa of NJ, Tracy LaFlamme and her husband Fred of Seymour, Sandra Bartlett and her partner Gary Fuoco of Southbury, Lisa Beckwith of Seymour and Kelly Presti and her husband John of Kensington; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren (with 2 more on the way), siblings, Albert Beckwith Sr. and his partner Alana DeCarlo of Waterbury, Donna Dobson and her husband Fred of Seymour, Ethel Thorpe and her husband John of FL, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, David was predeceased by his sister Delia Contois, and granddaughter Lauren LaFlamme.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11am DIRECTLY in the Pines Bridge Cemetery, Beacon Falls, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Oxford-Seymour Food Bank in memory of Lauren LaFlamme. The Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 161 W. Church St., Seymour, CT 06483 is entrusted with the arrangements.
