Dorothy Fessenden "Gram"  Blakeman (Smith)
OXFORD: Mrs. Dorothy “Gram” Fessenden Blakeman, age 77, of Oxford, beloved wife of the late Philip S. Blakeman, III, passed away on January 25, 2009 in Griffin Hospital, Derby. She was born on May 31, 1931 in Monroe to the late Henry James and Hazel Mildred Scriven Smith. Mrs. Blakeman is survived by twelve children, Claire Beamer of Ansonia, Barbara Hyman, Susan Brooks both of Oxford, Carol Blakeman of N.C. David Blakeman of Ansonia, Jill Crisp of Southbury, Richard Blakeman of Seymour, Donald Blakeman of Southbury, Sharon Schoeller of Middlebury, Brian Blakeman of N.C. Sandra Boudreau of Southington and Karen Blakeman of Waterbury. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren and a brother, Normand Smith and two sisters, Phyllis DuBail both of Monroe and Sarah Simpson of Newtown and will always be remembered as “Aunt Duffy” to many nieces and nephews. Philip S. Blakeman, III predeceased her. Services to be announced.
