Life Story for Dorothy A Ehrentraut

Dorothy A  Ehrentraut
BEACON FALLS, CT: Dorothy A. Ehrentraut, age 85 of Beacon Falls, a former longtime Seymour resident entered into peaceful rest June 6, 2009 at the Griffin Hospital, Derby; she was the beloved wife of the late Karl Ehrentraut. She was born December 3, 1923 in Fairfield, daughter of the late Charles and Lillian (Snyder) Frazier. Dorothy was a retired U.S. Government inspector working at both Remington Arms, and Winchester. Mrs. Ehrentraut enjoyed shopping, Bingo, camping, fishing, and cooking; she will be fondly remembered for her love of her family and family get-togethers and dinners. Dorothy leaves her loving family including, two sons, Charles G. Ehrentraut, Sr. and his wife Deborah of Beacon Falls, and Earl W. Ehrentraut and his wife Ruth of Naugatuck, her daughter, Dawn Stevens and her husband Craig of Beacon Falls, her brother, George Frazier of Duneden, FL, and her son in law, Raymond C. Ortiz and daughter in law, Irene Crutch both of Seymour, also, nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Her children, Richard G. Crutch, and Lillian P. Ortiz and two brothers, William and Charles Frazier predeceased her. A Memorial Service in celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home also Wednesday prior to the service from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the Beacon Hose Ambulance Fund, 35 North Main St., Beacon Falls, CT 06403.
