Edward C. Stockman, Sr., 90 of Oxford, entered in to peaceful rest on Dec. 18, 2023. He was born July 25, 1933, to the late Lewis and Olga Stockman. He grew up in Stratford and was a proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Edward was married to his love, Dorothy (Krug) Stockman for 64 years, passing in 2020. He was a self-employed carpenter, and a lifelong member of the Miamogue Yacht Club; he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and building many of his own boats. Survivors include his loving children, Debby (Rick) Steckert, Sue (Bill) Hatstat, Ed Stockman, Jr., Jim (Tracy) Stockman, Son-in-Law, John (Erica) Ruggerio. He was predeceased by his daughter, Nancy Ruggerio. He was also blessed with 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was also survived by his sisters, Helen Piccorillo and Eleanor Moran. Edward's family wishes to thank the support and care he received while at Griffin Hospital and Hospice Care. Calling Hours are Wednesday, Dec. 27 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour. A Memorial Service in celebration of Edward's life will immediately begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Mountain Meadows Cemetery.
