Obituary for Elaine Colley (Clark)
NAUGATUCK: Elaine (Clark) Colley, age 86 of Naugatuck, beloved wife of 58 years to the late Gerald V. Colley, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 29, 2022 in Griffin Hospital. Born in Lake Ariel, PA on July 22, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Helen (Megargle) Clark.
Elaine was a sweet and fun-loving woman of deep faith. She dedicated her time at the Seymour Evangelical Baptist Church, where she played the piano. She enjoyed sharing the love of Jesus through the joy of music, including at vocation bible school. For many years she volunteered for the Salvation Army working various jobs, but most notably by standing kettle at the old Klarides Supermarket.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Sheryl Albaugh and her husband Barry of Naugatuck; 2 cherished grandsons, William and Brian Jennings; siblings, Lyndon Clark and Rosemary Chapman, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Elaine was predeceased by her brothers, Hadley, Warren, Defore and Sylvan Clark.
In memory of Elaine’s sweet tooth, her family asks that you enjoy a favorite candy in her honor. All services are at the convenience of the family and the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 161 W. Church St., Seymour, CT 06483 has been entrusted with her arrangements.
