OXFORD: Emma Louise (Hilton) Shifflett, age 82, beloved wife of 57 years to Walter L. Shifflett,. She passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2009 in Shady Knoll Health Care Center, Seymour.
Mrs. Shifflett was born on November 22, 1926 in Danbury, CT to the late Ernest and Dorothy Walters Hilton. She worked in shipping and receiving at PTA Corp in Oxford. In addition to her devoted husband, she leaves her beloved daughter, Karen Hotchkiss and her husband Keith Hotchkiss Sr. of Oxford, two grandsons, Keith Hotchkiss, Jr. of Oxford and Brian Flach of West Haven. She also leaves two brothers, David Hilton of West Haven and Donald Hilton of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a sister, Bernita Bailey of Wassiac, New York and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Thursday, February 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour, CT. Services and interment will be at the convenience of the family.
