Obituary for Eva Elizabeth Strerath (Eiszelt)
Eva Elizabeth (Eiszelt) Strerath, age 97, previously of Ansonia and Seymour, entered peaceful rest on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 in Gardner Heights, Shelton. Born in Hungary on August 9, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth Eiszelt.
Eva immigrated to the United States during WWII and was the loving wife of Eugene Strerath until his passing in 1980. A secretary for Schick Razors, Eva lived a modest life, but loved her family and friends.
Survivors include her cherished grandchildren, Robert Venice and his wife Patricia of Cheshire, and Lisa Fablango of Old Saybrook, as well as her adored great grandchildren, Ryan and Mark Venice. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Sharon Venice.
All services will be held at the convenience of the family and her arrangements have been entrusted to the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St. Seymour, CT 06483.
