Mrs. Florida “Flo” Karg, age 80, of Beacon Falls, beloved wife of the late Raymond F. Karg, Jr. entered peaceful rest on Monday, Feb. 23, 2015 at Orange Health Care Center.
She was born on July 23, 1934 in New York, NY and was the daughter of the late Albert and Rose (Paradis) Gaudet. Mrs. Karg was a sales associate at JcPenney Co. in Derby for many years and worked prior at the Anaconda American Brass in Ansonia and Philips Medical in Shelton. She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church in Beacon Falls and a former communicant at St. Jude Church in Derby. Mrs. Karg enjoyed crafts and flower arranging but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and cheering them on at many sporting events.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She leaves a son, Dale Karg of Summerville, SC and a daughter, Carrie Cox and her husband John of Woodbridge and five grandchildren, Brendan, Camryn and Nathan Cox Bridget and Ryan Karg, and was a beloved Godmother to Yvette Chewning of VA. She also leaves her brother and sisters, Regis Gaudet in Minn., Lloyd Chapman in FL, Alberta Rock in Fl and Shirley Bernabucci in Hamden. She was predeceased by her brother, Arthur Gaudet and her sisters, Terry Gill and Mildred Beyer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Feb. 27 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Church, 25 Maple Avenue, Beacon Falls. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours.
