SHELTON, CT : Frederick R. Lopez, age 86 of Shelton entered into peaceful rest October 9, 2012 at Lord Chamberlain Health Center , Stratford with his devoted family by his side; he was the beloved husband of 66 years to Lucille (Saucier) Lopez. Mr. Lopez was born July 16, 1926 in Cranston , RI , son of the late Joseph and Laura (Beland) Lopez. Frederick retired from Northeast Graphics as a Printing Maintenance Manager . He worked for almost 50 years in the printing industry. He was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church, Huntington. Frederick will be remembered as the "Fix-it Guy" and would "Have Tools Will Travel" as his motto. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially at the beach and at lakes. After his retirement he swam every day at the Shelton Community Center and participated in computer classes at the Shelton Senior Center .

In addition to his wife, Mr. Lopez leaves his loving family including 3 daughters, Linda Bellavance of Seymour, Laurie Lopez of Lewiston, ME, and Lee Ann (Bunny) Hatfield and her husband John of Seymour, 4 grandchildren, Joseph and Shawn Bellavance, and Jay and Jennifer Hatfield, and 5 great grandchildren, Ryan, Casey, Zachary, Gabrielle, and Kayla, and brother-in-law Harry Saucier and his wife Mary and their children of Yarmouthport, MA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church (DIRECTLY), 505 Shelton Ave. , Huntington . Interment will follow in Huntington Lawn Cemetery . There are no calling hours. Arrangements are entrusted to the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St. , Seymour .
