Obituary for Frederick Warner

ANSONIA, CT: Frederick T. Warner, age 86 of Ansonia, CT entered into peaceful rest November 9, 2008 at the Griffin Hospital, Derby. Mr. Warner was the beloved fiancé of Patricia (LaBranche) Kiley of Ansonia, and was the beloved husband of the late Shirley (LaBranche) Warner and also of Shirley (Rex) Warner. Frederick was born October 14, 1922 in Derby, son of the late James and Margaret (Murphy) Warner. Mr. Warner was a communicant of the Church of the Assumption, Ansonia. He was retired from the City of Ansonia, Public Works Department, he also was a retired Truck Driver from Oates Transport, and he also retired from AVCO; he later was employed by Stop and Shop in Shelton, and as an avid bowler, Fred also worked as a Manager at Valley Bowl, Derby. Mr. Warner was a WW II US Air Force Veteran and had served in the European Theater of Operations. Frederick was a founder and one of the original Commissioners of the City of Shelton’s Little League Baseball program; he was also an avid Boston Red Sox Fan. Fred enjoyed volunteering at the Griffin Hospital and will be fondly remembered for his portrayal of Santa Claus there and many other community and civic organizations. Fred’s yard decorations for Christmas and other holidays brought smiles to all who passed by. Fred will be truly missed.
In addition to his fiancé, Frederick leaves his loving family including two sons, George F. Warner and his wife Susan of Trumbull, and William Warner of Milford, three grandchildren, Rena Marulli, Tori and Lindsay Warner; he also leaves his fiancés family including, her two sons, Christopher Kiley and his wife Kathleen of Bethany, Timothy Kiley and his wife Patricia of Ansonia, Patricia Isberg and her husband John of Oxford, and her nine grandchildren. Mr. Warner was predeceased by his son, Frederick T. Warner, Jr.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour to the Church of the Assumption, 61 North Cliff Street, Ansonia where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Interment with full Military Honors will be in Oak Cliff Cemetery, Derby.
