SEYMOUR, CT: Gerald A. Lanza, age 73 of Seymour, entered peaceful rest August 14, 2014 in Derby; he was the beloved husband of 51 years to the Late Dorothy (Neligan) J. Lanza. Mr. Lanza was born May 14, 1941 in Queens, NY, son of the late John and Fara (Palazzolo) Lanza. Gerald was a retired Software Engineer for the NASDAQ Exchange. He was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd. He was an avid golfer, and he loved baseball; he was a NY Mets fan. Mr. Lanza was a member of the Silver Sluggers Baseball Group of Derby. Gerald was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Gerald leaves his loving family including a son, Denis Lanza of Seymour, daughters, Janine Lanza and her spouse, Adrian Cho of Grosse Pointe, MI, and Jennifer Williams of Ft. Myers. FL, a brother, John Lanza (Patricia) of Daytona Beach, FL, a sister, Christine Obremski (Frank) of Queens, NY, his grandchildren, Jessica, Audrey, and Emmett, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling Hours are Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. in Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour Funeral services are Monday at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd., Seymour where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
