SEYMOUR, CT: Gladys Gilbert age 95 of Seymour, she entered peaceful rest on April 29, 2023, she was the beloved wife of the late William Gilbert. Gladys was born November 15, 1927 in Lowell, MA, daughter of the late Herbert and Ruth (Pooler) Walton. She was a retired Pre-School Teacher, and had formerly been employed at Raytheon as a Quality Control Inspector. Gladys was a member of the Seymour Congregational Church United Church of Christ for almost 50 years. She was very creative and she enjoyed doing crafts, and she especially enjoyed oil painting, in particular still life and landscape works.

Gladys leaves her loving family including her daughters, Darlene Foley of Nashua, New Hampshire, and Carol Haberman and her husband Robert April of Shapleigh, ME; her son, David Haberman and his wife Denise of Conifer, CO; a sister, Miriam Walton of Dracut, MA; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren; also many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service in celebration of Gladys’ life will be held Saturday May 6th at 10:00 AM at the Seymour United Church of Christ Congregational, 45 Broad Street, Seymour. There are no calling hours. Interment is private. Memorial Gifts may be made to the Seymour Congregational Church. The arrangements have been entrusted to the Ralph E.
