Obituary for Gordon K. Hall

OXFORD: Gordon “Gordy” Keith Hall, age 46 of Oxford, beloved companion to Melissa Gosha, entered peaceful rest on Saturday, August 11, 2018 in Griffin Hospital surrounded by family. Born in Derby on April 19, 1972, he was a son of the late William Hall, Sr. and Gloria (Pope) Hall of Oxford. Gordon was a graduate of Seymour High School and Stratford Career Institute with a degree in landscape design. He was a longtime employee of Pine Meadow Gardens and was also self employeed as owner of Gordon’s Earth Care. Gordon loved nature and was a gifted gardner. His daughter, Bella, was the love of his life. He enjoyed swimming with her in Maine and was a good sport about playing dress-up. Together, they would mow the lawn. He was an avid NASCAR, Dallas Cowboy and NY Yankee fan. The family is grateful to the ICU team at Griffin Hospital who did everything in their power to help. In addition to his mother, Gloria, companion, Melissa, and daughter, Bella, he is survived by his brothers, William Hall, Jr. and his wife Kim of Naugatuck, and Brian Hall and his wife Cora of Plainville, as well as his niece, Kendall and nephew, Dylan. Gordon was predeceased by his beloved dog, “Doobie”. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour. Family and friends may greet the family in the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, an education trust has been established to benefit Bella. Those desiring to donate can get further information through the funeral home.
