Crunchy on the outside with a soft gooey center-that was Uncle Harold. One of the last times I spoke to Uncle Harold he had just come back from a trip into town to buy wild bird seed. Blizzardlike conditions, and the news warning people to stay in did not stop Uncle Harold-he was worried about his little wild birds having enough seed in such weather. He said that despite all the warnings and reports of dangerous driving conditions on the road that he had had no problem and that he was not going to let a little weather stop him from getting to town and back with that birdseed for his little birds.
