Obituary for Howie Brown
SEYMOUR: Howie Brown, age 24 of Seymour, beloved son of Kelly (Broga) Gallagher, entered peaceful rest on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Derby on October 5, 1995, Howie graduated from Sound School in West Haven, and later IYRS Trade School (RI) where he learned marine studies and later became Deck Boss for Poppa-C Commercial Fishing in Milford.
An avid outdoorsman, Howie loved hunting and anything to do with the water, including boating, fishing and crabbing. His friends were his world, and he will always be remembered as a very hard worker; as his boss stated, "Howie was the best of the best."
In addition to his mother, survivors include his loving sisters, Nicole Brown of Watertown and Tammy Gallagher of Voluntown; 2 cherished nieces, Audrey and Kayla, as well as his extended family, Richard Gallagher, Jenn Provost, Pete Consiglio and the whole Consiglio family.
Calling Hours will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour. A celebration of Howie's life will immediately follow at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to "Howie Fund" for his nieces to benefit their future college education.
