Life Story for Irene Konikowski (Krupski)

Seymour, CT and Grapevine, TX: Irene (Krupski) Konikowski of Grapevine, TX, formerly of Davis Road, Seymour, entered into peaceful rest March 31, 2009 in Grapevine, TX. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank James Konikowski. Irene was born April 6, 1922 in Seymour to the late Walter and Mary (Mamie) Jaworoski Krupski. She was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd. Irene was a former employee of Bridgeport Brass, Seymour and a retired Inspector for Uniroyal, Naugatuck. She was a member of the Emil Senger Post 10 American Legion Auxiliary. She lived most of her life in Seymour until retiring to Florida, than later moved to Texas. Irene is survived by her daughter, Karen Konikowski Poor of Grapevine, TX and her granddaughter, Stacey Poor of Austin, TX and a sister, Carol Webb of Englewood, Florida. Her sister, Helen Averill predeceased her. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 4 at 8:15 from the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9.a.m. at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Seymour. Interment to follow in the St. Augustine’s Cemetery, Seymour. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
