Woodbury, CT: Janet Lynne Congdon, age 77 entered into peaceful rest on May 18, 2020 at Bethel Health Care. Janet was born on May 18, 1943 in Oxford, daughter of the late William L. Rice and Beulah L. (Bice) Hillson. After working as a Medical Technologist for almost 30 years, she retired from New Milford Hospital in 2017. Janet was a communicant of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Woodbury, and sang with the Waterbury Chorale. She loved traveling to Scotland, and relished in the fact that she did so on 12 occasions.

Janet leaves her loving family including her daughters, Amy Yagelowich of Phoenix, AZ, Jeanne Truncale of Fernandina Beach, FL, and Allison Taylor (Alex) of Leesburg, VA; also her grandchildren, Emily and Stephanie Yagelowich, and Elliott John Taylor. Her brother Warren Rice predeceased her.

There are no services at this time. A memorial celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
