Obituary for Janice Estelle Dziadik (Hecox)

SEYMOUR, CT: Janice Estelle Dziadik, age 80 of Seymour, she entered into peaceful rest on October 6, 2019 at the Griffin Hospital, Derby; she was the beloved wife of the late Michael Dziadik. Janice was born in Derby on January 1, 1939, daughter of the late George and Gertrude (Van Ness) Hecox. She was formerly employed at the former Isaacsons Clothing Store in Seymour. Janice was a Communicant and Eucharistic Minister at St. Nicholas Parish, The Church of the Good Shepherd. Mrs. Dziadik was a master seamstress, and had the owner of Elizabeth’s Bridal Studio formerly in Seymour. She was a U.S. Navy veteran, and she belonged to the Emil Senger, Post 10, American Legion. Janice enjoyed the southern coast of Maine, studying The Bible and Military History; she also liked to read poetry, and researching family genealogy. She was an artist and decorator, and in her later years she decorated and designed custom table top Christmas trees.

Mrs. Dziadik leaves her loving family including her son, Michael Dziadik of Suwanee, GA, and her daughter, Elizabeth Sullo and her husband John of Kennebunk, ME; her sister, Louise Corning of New Britain, and her grandchildren, Derek William Dziadik, Mark Anthony Sullo, David Matthew Sullo, and Megan Olivia Sullo.

Calling Hours will be Friday from 9:00 to 10:30 AM in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. A mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour.
